| Stopping with optimum efficiency |

| In collaboration with sporting specialists Brembo, the innovative four-wheel ventilated wide diameter disc brakes which feature four opposed front and two opposed rear caliper pistons are incorporated on the new WRX STI. The brake system features the Super Sports ABS which separately controls the front and rear, right and left brakes and includes steering, yaw rate and lateral G sensors. Backed up by Electronic Brake-force Distribution which controls stability when front and rear weight balance is changed, the Super Sports ABS delivers optimum control when cornering or turning. Finally, the clever Hill Start Assist feature enhances smooth hill climbing by maintaining braking power for approximately 1 second. |

| Ring-Shaped Reinforcement Frames |

| Developed utilising the latest theories of body strength and built to reduce impacts from any direction, the front side frame and sub-frames surround the engine. This unique structure then sees each of the pillars and the lateral body frame encapsulate and strengthen the cabin, whilst the ring-shape arches over, extending from the roof to the doors, pillars and floor with a single tough and energy absorbing frame that is capable of reducing shocks and protecting the entire cabin area. |

| SRS*1 front, front side and curtain airbags are fitted as standard. The seatbelts feature a pretensioner that automatically winds in to restrain you and your passengers and a load limiter that reduces shock to the chest area in the event of frontal collision. For small children, the tether and ISO-FIX anchors allow the easy and firm installation and removal of child and baby seats. |
